Kiran Dayal was born in 1995 in Delhi, where she currently lives & works. Dayal studied painting at the Arunachal University of Studies (2014-18). As her work evolved during and after her graduation years, she found herself thinking about multiple communities at risk due to systemic oppression. Dayal maneuvered from exploring diverse identities, societal hypocrisies as an impediment for inclusivity & equality. The substructure of her explorations has always been of acceptance, inclusion, tolerance. More so around gender development and childhood. She uses symbolism to create a range of works that vary in the material used, medium, and texture, such as clay, paper, tape, textile, oil, and more.
The process of constantly questioning one's position of power and privilege led her to pursue post-graduation in Social Design (2019-21) from Ambedkar University, Delhi.
